The short version
You can use the current Calmer Divorce checklist without an account. It does not ask for your name, email address, documents, case numbers, allegations, or financial figures. Your browser uses five answers to build the plan shown on the page. The checklist does not send those answers to Calmer Divorce or save them.
This notice covers the website as it works on the effective date shown above. We will update it before introducing a feature that handles visitor information differently.
Information the checklist uses
The checklist asks five broad questions:
- Where you are in the process: preparing or considering, in progress, or recently finalized.
- Whether children's routines apply to you.
- Whether a shared home or housing change applies to you.
- Whether shared finances apply to you.
- Which broad area feels most overwhelming.
Your answers and completed task checks stay in temporary browser memory while the page is open. Reloading or closing the page clears them. If you print or save a plan, your browser handles the file. Calmer Divorce does not receive it.
Optional progress saved on your device
Some public guides have interactive checklists. The "Remember progress on this device" option is off by default. When you turn it on, your browser stores the guide identifier and the identifiers of completed items in local storage. Guide checklists have no free-text fields, so the saved data contains no written responses.
To remove saved progress, clear the checks, turn the option off, or clear the site data in your browser. Otherwise, the progress stays on that device until you or the browser removes it.
Information sent with web requests
When your browser loads a Calmer Divorce page, it sends the information needed to deliver and protect the site. A request can include your IP address, the requested URL, the time, browser or device information, and security signals. Checklist answers are not part of these requests, so Calmer Divorce does not combine them with request information.
The public website currently has no account system, contact form, email collection, advertising trackers, or audience analytics scripts. Calmer Divorce's application code does not set visitor cookies.
Service providers and external links
Cloudflare hosts and delivers the public website. As an infrastructure provider, it handles request and security information. The application does not send intake answers or checklist progress to Cloudflare.
Guides may link to courts, government agencies, professional associations, nonprofits, and other sources. Calmer Divorce does not send your checklist answers to those sites. If you follow an external link, the destination receives a standard web request and applies its own privacy practices.
Calmer Divorce retrieves published pages and guides from its content management system through a server-only connection. The CMS credential stays on the server, and content requests do not contain checklist answers.
Retention and sharing
Calmer Divorce does not create visitor profiles or keep checklist answers in a server-side database. Intake answers and personalized task checks last only while the current page is open. If you choose to save guide progress, it remains on your device as described above.
Infrastructure providers may keep service and security records based on the service configuration and their terms. Calmer Divorce does not sell or rent checklist answers or guide progress. It does not share either for advertising.
What you can do
- Keep "Remember progress on this device" off when using a shared or monitored device.
- Clear saved guide checks or local site data when you no longer want that information on the device.
- Do not use Calmer Divorce on a device if using the site could put you at risk.
- Private or incognito browsing does not guarantee safety or erase every trace of activity.
Changes to this notice
We will revise this notice before Calmer Divorce collects email addresses or feedback, creates accounts, adds analytics or advertising, changes how information is stored, or starts using another service that processes visitor information. The dates above show when this version took effect and when we last checked it against the product.
